Harrison House Adult Services is a group home program carefully designed to support the overall needs of adults with a primary diagnosis of intellectual disability. Participants reside in an environment that is clean, comfortable, and secure. Qualified, compassionate individuals who acknowledge the unique needs of our consumers, and who support their ability to thrive and advance staff the program around the clock. Client-centered, the program is planned around the needs, preferences and abilities of its participants. Consumers, their family members, health care professionals, case managers, staff and other authorized representatives collaborate to develop service plans tailored to fit individual clients’ needs.
There are 3 Harrison House locations in Richmond and Chesterfield accepting adult male and female clients. We can accept both low-level and high-level functioning client. Lower functioning client may need assistance with managing activities of daily living. Higher functioning clients exhibit more independence. Many of the social activities are similar among all clients, although higher functioning clients are encouraged to participate in opportunities that will improve their decision-making skills and autonomy.
